MEET OUR TEAM

David Fleming | BSCPT, CGIMS, FCAMPT

David graduated from UBC in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Since then, he has gone on to take specialty courses in orthopedic and manipulative physiotherapy, obtaining the Fellow of the Canadian Association of Manual Physical Therapy (FCAMPT) designation in 2011. He is also certified in Chan Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (CGIMS). David has also taken post-graduate courses in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) in order to apply optimal movement patterns and exercise to his treatment approach.

David worked with elite sports teams before transitioning his practice to a more diverse group of individuals, from teenagers to seniors, as well as individuals injured in motor vehicle collisions and workplace accidents. He understands the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle through physical activity. He enjoys taking the time to understand each person’s unique challenges in order to ascertain which treatment approach will work best and help them get back to what they love.
In his spare time, David enjoys an active lifestyle, having retired from training for Ironman races. He enjoys hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, running, swimming, paddle boarding, soccer, playing golf badly and cooking (which he does well, according to his wife). David and his wife, Fiona, love being involved in the Salmon Arm community and taking part in community events and local adventures with their 2 young boys. He coaches his boys in cross country skiing and soccer and is also a volunteer firefighter.
